How to Edit DNS Records

Steps to Change DNS Records at Porkbun
There’s no need to be intimidated as you learn how to edit DNS records! Here are the steps you need to edit, remove, or add DNS records at Porkbun:

- Log in to your Porkbun account and you should arrive at the Domain Management screen. If you're already logged in, click on ACCOUNT in the top-right corner and select "Domain Management" from the dropdown menu.

- Locate your domain and click the "Details" button list to the right. In the domain Details area that appears, click the "Edit" option next to "DNS Records."

- If you won't be using our web hosting or URL forwarder, you want to make sure you delete the default DNS records that point at 'pixie.porkbun.com' or 'pixie-parking.porkbun.com' by selecting the trash can icon.

- To add DNS records, select the record type you would like to add from the "Type" drop-down, then enter the hostname and answer for the record. Click the "Add" button to add the record to DNS.
Please note that if you are looking to switch your authoritative nameservers, adding NS records under DNS Records is not the way to do it. Check out our guide on how to change nameservers, instead.
