Connecting your physical security key

1
Log in to Porkbun. Click on ACCOUNT in the top-right of your browser window and select Account Settings. Locate "Web Authentication (WebAuthn)" at the bottom of the page. Click "Register a Key" to continue.
2
You will be prompted to enter a name for the security key. Enter something memorable and click "OK" to continue.
3
You'll receive a prompt from your browser to insert your security key.

4
Insert your security key into your computer's USB port and press your finger to the metal contact.
5
Upon successful authentication of the key, you will be given backup codes you can use to restore your account should your key be lost or damaged. Please print these off and store them somewhere safe.
You should now see your key listed in the WebAuthn section of your Account Settings. You may add additional keys to have a backup on hand in case you lose one. To delete a key, click the red "X" to the right of the key name.

Congratulations! You have secured your account using a physical security key. You will now be prompted to insert the key whenever you log in to Porkbun.

Logging in to Porkbun with your security key

Now that you've paired a security key to your account, you will be required to use it whenever you log in to Porkbun.  The login process is very similar to the pairing process.

1
From the Porkbun home page, click the Sign In button and enter your username and password on the Log In page. Click Continue to log in.
2

You'll receive a prompt from your browser to insert your security key.

3
Insert your security key into your computer's USB port and press your finger to the metal contact.

That's it! You should now be logged in to Porkbun. You can use the same security key to log in to multiple accounts with different providers, making this a great way to secure your personal data.
