How to cancel cPanel hosting

If you've decided on another hosting option and need to cancel cPanel, this guide is for you! The following steps will walk you through canceling cPanel.

1
Log in. This should take you to the Domain Management screen. If you're already logged in, click on ACCOUNT in the top right, and select Domain Management.

2
Locate the domain you're cancelling cPanel hosting for. To the right of the domain name, click on the cPanel icon, under the "WEBSITE" column.

3
You'll be taken to the "Shared cPanel Hosting" page for your domain. Scroll down to the "Plan" section, then click on the "cancel service" button.

4
A window will appear asking you if you would like to cancel your subscription. Click the "Yes, cancel my subscription" button.

5
You will be directed to another page that shows your hosting plan has been cancelled. To fully confirm deletion of the cPanel hosting from your domain and our system, click on the "Permanently Cancel" button.

You'll see the same confirmation window from before. Click on "Yes, cancel my subscription" one more time.

That's it! The page will load for a moment while your domain is being disconnected from the hosting plan. cPanel should now be removed from your domain. If you return to Domain Management, the "WEBSITE" icon should now be replaced with a house icon, which confirms that you don't have a hosting plan attached to the domain anymore.

You can now set up a different web hosting plan from Porkbun by clicking that house icon, or you can configure your domain to point to a different web hosting provider instead.
