Understanding the Link in Bio Page

Link in Bio pages have three sections:

1

The heading area. At the top of every Link in Bio page is an SEO-optimized heading that lets you define your brand with a name and description of your choosing.

2

At the bottom of Link in Bio pages is a Social Links section, where you can provide links for email, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

3

In the middle is the Links section, the namesake for Link in Bio. Links are custom buttons that can point anywhere else online. This can be your page on another platform, like an Etsy or Shopify store, an App Store link or anything else with a URL.

Customizing your Link In Bio Profile

  • The Profile section on your Link in Bio page allows you to set the Profile Title, Picture and Bio that will appear at the top of the page. Changes made in the Profile section will be automatically published when the site is saved.

  • The Title won't just appear as the heading for your page, but will also be set as the page title, so this section is important for SEO purposes and communicating your brand to the visitor.
  • The Bio section is the spot to describe what you do. This area can be even more important than the Title for SEO, since a well crafted Bio can allow you to connect to the terminology your audience is searching for.
  • The Profile Picture does not have a huge impact on SEO, but is important for letting returning audience members recognize you and also provides another opportunity to communicate your brand to new visitors.

To connect a Social Link:

Adding Links

Links are individual items on your Link in Bio page that can be used to link anywhere else on the internet.

In addition to serving as a button to visit other websites or platforms, Links include a title that can be up to 255 characters to describe what you're linking. Beyond helping your visitors find what they're looking for, link titles are another good place to boost your SEO.

To add a link:

1
From the Link in Bio editor, click the 'Add a Link' button at the top of the Links section.

2
In the Add Link window that opens, add a Link Title to describe the link, the URL of the link and then choose whether you want the link to be shown publicly. Once you're done with those settings, click the Save button and the link will be added immediately.

Once a link has been added, there are some additional options for each individual link:

1
You can move a link down in the order of your links using this button on the left.
2
The edit icon can be used to change the Link Title or URL.
3
You can add a Link Image, which displays alongside the link, by using the image button to select an image from your computer, which will be shown to the left side of the Link button.
4
If you’d like a link to make a dramatic entrance, you can set links to animate onto the screen when the page is loaded from the same section. For long groups of links, this will also allow links further down the list to animate into view when scrolling down.
5
Useful for time-limited promotions and live events, you can also schedule when Links will appear. You can set Links to automatically become available at a certain time and/or to be hidden at a specific time and date.
6
The content options button lets you manage access to a specific Link. You can require a password to visit the Link, add a sensitive content warning or require age/birthday verification for anyone visiting a specific Link.
7
The toggle on the right side can be used to show/hide a link.
8
The trash can icon can be used to delete a link.
