How to add your external domain to your Porkbun account

We have you covered if you'd like to use our hosting products but on a domain not registered through Porkbun. Here's how to add a domain registered somewhere else to your Porkbun account:

1
Start by logging into your Porkbun account. Click on the downward arrow in the top right where it reads "ACCOUNT," then choose "Add External Domain."

Alternatively, if you already have domains with us, you can select the "add external domain" button at the top of your domains list.

2
Configure your domain to the following nameservers at your registrar:
  • curitiba.ns.porkbun.com
  • fortaleza.ns.porkbun.com
  • maceio.ns.porkbun.com
  • salvador.ns.porkbun.com
3
Once you've assigned our nameservers (and sometimes waited a few minutes), enter the external domain you want to add to your account. If everything looks correct, select the blue "Submit and Verify" button to add the external domain.

4
Once the domain has been submitted and accepted. You will see your external domain in your Domain Management area. As a final step, you will need to click the ENABLE DNS option.

That's it! You can now add any hosting options we offer or utilize our DNS service even if the domain is registered elsewhere.
